Can I use a domain I already own with my Bolt project?
Yes. You can connect domains from third-party registrars. See Connect your domain for step-by-step instructions. My domain is still showing Resolve DNS issues after 24 hours
If you’ve added your domain name in Bolt and you are still seeing Resolve DNS issues, it is likely that there is a problem with how your registrar is pointing the domain. Confirm that the information provided by Bolt on the DNS configuration screen is accurately pointed to your registrar’s end. If the records look correct and the status still hasn’t resolved, see Troubleshoot SSL provisioning for other common causes, like conflicting A records.”Another project is already using this domain” error
If you see this error, it usually means the domain is still connected to a previous deployment on another hosting service. This happens when the domain was not fully removed from that service’s domain management settings. If your domain was purchased through Netlify: Netlify usually lets you disconnect a domain from your project directly. In some cases, an underlying communication issue between Bolt and Netlify means this isn’t enough to resolve it. If you’ve removed the domain from your Netlify projects and still see the error in Bolt, contact Netlify support so they can update the domain settings. If your domain was purchased through another provider:- Log in to the hosting service where the domain was previously connected.
- Go to the domain management settings.
- Check if your domain is still listed or connected to any old projects.
- Remove the domain if it’s still connected.
- Return to your Bolt dashboard and try connecting the domain again.
